2006 Spotlight Night dates announced!

Since 1980, Spotlight Night showcases have been a valuable aspect of singing training; and give you experience in a live performance situation. This can be a big help in subsequent auditions and performances, and perhaps a way to try out material before doing a full scale club act of your own. Also, Spotlight Nights provide an excellent showcase for agents, managers, or casting directors to see you perform. Even students currently in Broadway shows have enjoyed the chance to get up in front of an audience as themselves.
 
There's a show at 6:00 for younger singers, and 9:00 for the adults. We're happy to be at Danny's Skylight Room for another musical year!

I've been asked to do more and more workshops, master classes, and seminars across the country. 2006 will include conducting the Summer Vocal Pedagogy Workshop for Belmont University in Nashville, TN, as well as seminars and private coaching sessions for the American Talent Showcase, IN Charleston, SC.

On October 2nd, Denise Simon and I will be conducting a special "Musical Audition and Performance Workshop" in New York City with limited enrollment. 10:00 is singing, 1:00 is acting, and it culminates in a brief audition for a casting director! Information and registration: 212-501-2484.
 
At Shenandoah University with Dr. Peak Woo, Professor of Otolaryngology at the Mount Sinai Medical School. He is a board-certified otolaryngologist with special interests in the voice, voice disorders, and surgery designed specifically to improve the voice. He leads a multidisciplinary team dedicated to the comprehensive treatment of the voice and larynx at the Eugene Grabscheid, M.D., Voice Center, an outstanding clinical and research center for voice disorders at the Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City.
